What Does a TACUSPA Volunteer Do?
As a volunteer, you’ll play a critical role in creating a welcoming and well-coordinated experience for our attendees. Volunteers are the heartbeat of the conference, assisting with everything from registration and hospitality to the silent auction and session moderation. Volunteers should expect to serve in their role for a minimum of 2 hours. Check out all the volunteer opportunities below!

Volunteer Roles
Session Moderator
Introduce speaker and session, signal speaker with time cues, manage audience, assist with minor tech issues and handout needs, track attendance, and ensure feedback is collected.
Registration Help Desk
Assist with checking in attendees which includes handing out name badges, conference materials, and welcome packets and answering basic conference questions
Conference Runner
Assist with updating signage in between sessions, run supplies or tech to rooms, and assist with last-minute errands. Encourage attendees to fill empty seats at keynotes and high-attendance sessions, ensure accessibility needs are met, and monitor room capacity.
Hotel Support
Assist conference attendees in transitioning from hotel space to student convention center.
Photos & Promotions
Take photos for attendees at backdrops and promote social media tagging.
