Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso) is accepting applications and nominations for a dynamic leader to provide strategic planning in expanding student services.  Reporting directly to the Provost, the Assistant Vice President oversees the registrar’s office, student financial aid, academic and disability support services, student governance, student life programs and student wellness. The Assistant Vice President serves as the student Title IX Deputy Coordinator and collaborates with faculty, students, staff, and administration to foster a positive, equitable, and inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body. 

In 2018, TTUHSC El Paso was granted accreditation with commendation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the highest level designation possible.  Today, TTUHSC El Paso is the Texas Tech University System’s fourth free-standing university, joining Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and Angelo State University. TTUHSC El Paso’s schools include the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, and the new Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine.

  • ·         Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree
  • ·         Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in student services at the level of director, assistant/associate dean, assistant/associate provost, or assistant/associate vice president
  • ·         Successful track record of working effectively and collegially with faculty, administrators, students, and members of the community
  • ·         Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
